About Us

Who We Are

Magicats, Inc., a feline rescue “no kill” organization, serves cats and kittens in South Central Idaho. Founded in 2010 as a private 501(c)(3) private non-profit all-volunteer group, we believe that positive permanent changes in animal welfare can best occur when rescue groups educate, cooperate, communicate, and coordinate. Annually, about 350 cats and kittens pass through our network of volunteer foster homes while awaiting permanent adoptive homes.  Also, on a case-by-case basis as resources permit, we provide limited trap-neuter-return (TNR) assistance.

Three local veterinary practices provide  medical care, including wellness evaluation, full annual immunizations, testing for FIV/FELV, spay/neuter surgery, and provide medical direction as appropriate. Carefully screened adoptions occur through our website,,, and our Facebook pages. Twin Falls PetSmart is our primary on site adoption venue. We receive no government support. All funding comes from adoption fees, private donations, occasional small grants and fund raisers, and the generosity of donors, large and small. We welcome loving, responsible foster families and individuals willing to work with cats in crisis or who are interested in financially sponsoring specific animals, or assist with donations or fundraising activities to ensure that our Magicats get great forever homes.

What We Do

Rescue cats

Cats needing our help arrive in a variety of ways such as abandoned or needing a new home (rehomed)

Cats taken into Magicats are cared for by amazing, loving fosters

Trap – Neuter – Return programs help address community cat populations with a proven approach

Our ultimate goal for each Magicat cat is for them to find their own loving forever home

Donations Save Lives

As a non-profit cat rescue, we do not receive government support. We rely on the generosity of our feline community and adoption fees to continue our work in the community. Every little bit helps!

Adopt & Foster

Our ultimate goal for every cat we rescue is for them to find their own forever home, but before we can do that we need to give them care in one of our foster homes. Interested in fostering? Click on “Foster” in the menu. Ready to adopt? Click below!
